Mobil Jet Oil II is a high performance aircraft-type gas turbine lubricant formulated with a combination of a highly stable synthetic base fluid and a unique chemical additive package. The combination provides outstanding thermal and oxidative stability to resist deterioration and deposit formation in both the liquid and vapour phases, as well as excellent resistance to foaming. The effective operating range of Mobil Jet Oil II is between -40ºC (-40 ºF) and 204 ºC (400ºF).
Mobil Jet Oil II is engineered for aircraft gas turbine engines used in commercial and military service requiring MIL-PRF-23699F-STD level performance. It also is recommended for aircraft-type gas turbine engines in industrial or marine service applications

Mobil Jet Oil II is formulated to meet the demanding requirements of aircraft-type gas turbines operating over a wide range of severe operating conditions. The product has a high specific heat in order to ensure good heat transfer from oil-cooled engine parts. In extensive laboratory testing and in-flight performance, Mobil Jet Oil II exhibits excellent bulk oil stability at temperatures up to 204ºC (400 ºF). The evaporation rate at these temperatures is low enough to prevent excessive loss of volume.
Applications
Mobil Jet Oil II is recommended for aircraft gas turbine engines of the turbo-jet, turbo-fan, turbo-prop, and turbo-shaft (helicopter) types in commercial and military service. It is also recommended for aircraft-type gas turbine engines used in industrial or marine applications. Mobil Jet Oil II is approved against the Standard Performance (STD) classification of U.S. Military Specification MIL-PRF-23699. It is also compatible with other synthetic gas turbine lubricants meeting MIL-PRF-23699. However, mixing with other products is not recommended because the blend would result in some loss of the performance characteristics of Mobil Jet Oil II. Mobil Jet Oil II is compatible with all metals used in gas turbine construction, as well as with F Rubber (Viton A), H Rubber (Buna N), and silicone seal materials.
Product Description
Mobil Jet Oil 254 is a third-generation, extra high performance, synthetic aircraft-type gas turbine lubricant engineered to meet the performance requirements for gas turbine engines used in commercial and military aircraft. This product is formulated from a specially prepared, hindered-ester base stock and fortified with a unique chemical additive package. The result is a product having superior thermal and oxidation stability that resists deterioration and deposit formation while maintaining the physical characteristics required by builder and military specifications. The physical properties of Mobil Jet Oil 254 are similar to those currently available, earlier-generation gas turbine lubricants. The effective operating range of the lubricant is between -40°C (-40 °F) and 232°C (450°F).

Mobil Jet Oil 254 is formulated to meet the demanding requirements of latest technology aircraft-type gas turbines operating over a wide range of severe operating conditions. When compared to a typical Type II lubricant, Mobil Jet Oil 254 reduces bulk oil oxidation by up to 50 percent and shows deposit control capability 50 F higher. These properties have been confirmed in various laboratory tests including; the Corrosion-Oxidation Stability Test, Alcor Deposition Test, Vapor Phase Coker, Erdco High-Temperature Bearing Test, Ryder Gear and the Mobil Thin Film Oxidation Test.The closely controlled low-temperature viscosity of Mobil Jet Oil 254, along with its low pour point (below -54 ºC), ensure good low-temperature fluidity to permit starting and lubrication at temperatures as low as -40 ºC. In extensive laboratory testing and in-flight experience, Mobil Jet Oil 254 also exhibits excellent bulk oil stability at temperatures up to 232 ºC (450 ºF) for extended periods. The evaporation rate at these temperatures is low enough to prevent excessive loss of volume. The load-carrying ability of Mobil Jet Oil 254 comes from its synthetic base stock viscosity and, therefore, is not subject to loss from viscosity index additive shear. The lubricant has excellent resistance to foaming.

The physical properties of Mobil Jet Oil 387conform to required builder and military specifications.

Mobil Jet Oil 387 shows excellent performance controlling deposits typically experienced in both the liquid and vapor phases in bearing compartments, oil supply lines, and breather/scavenger lines. These properties have been confirmed in various laboratory tests, including the Corrosion-Oxidation Stability Test, Alcor Deposition Test, Vapor Phase Coker, Erdco High-Temperature Bearing Test, Ryder Gear, and the Mobil Thin Film Oxidation Test.
The closely controlled viscosity of Mobil Jet Oil 387 at -40°C (-40°F), and a pour point below -54°C (-65°F), ensure the good low-temperature fluidity which permits starting and lubrication at temperatures as low as -40°C. In extensive laboratory testing, Mobil Jet Oil 387 exhibits excellent bulk oil stability at temperatures greater than 225°C (437°F).
Applications
Mobil Jet Oil 387 is approved against the new SAE AS5780 High Performance Capability (HPC) standard. This civil specification was developed to meet the growing performance and quality needs that commercial airlines seek, especially with the entrance of new, higher-output and lower consumption engines.
OEM in-house evaluation/approval programs are also underway. Once complete, Mobil Jet Oil 387 will be commercialized for use in aircraft gas turbine engines, including turbo-jet, turbo-fan, turbo-prop, and turbo-shaft (helicopter), in commercial and military service. In addition, it will be suitable for aircraft-type gas turbine engines in industrial and marine applications.

Synthetic Aviation Grease
Product Description
Mobilgrease 33 is a high-performance lithium-complex grease designed for general-purpose aircraft use. Its consistency is between the NLGI grades 1 and 2. Mobilgrease 33 utilizes a 100% polyalphaolefin base oil and premium additives which ensure outstanding lubrication performance over a wide temperature range and operating conditions.
Features and Benefits
The lithium complex thickener system provides excellent structural stability and resistance to water wash-out. Polyalphaolefin base oil is used in Mobilgrease 33 because of its exceptional thermal/oxidative resistance potential, low volatility, and superb low-temperature capability, without the potential vulnerability of an ester base oil to degradation from reaction with water. The synthetic polyalphaolefin base oil offers excellent low-temperature mobility/pumpability and very low starting and running torque values. In addition, the state-of-the art additive system in Mobilgrease 33 provides superior rust and wear protection and load-carrying capacity compared to aviation greases that meet the minimum requirements of the MIL-PRF-23827 specification.
Applications
Mobilgrease 33 is a true multipurpose aviation grease intended for use in highly loaded anti-friction bearings, gears, and actuators as well as instruments, high speed bearings (though not recommended for wheel bearings), and general airframe lubrication, over operating temperatures from –100ºF to 250ºF (–73ºC to 121ºC). It can be used in all applications for which the aircraft manufacturer specifies U.S. Military Specification MIL-PRF-23827, Type I (Grease, Aircraft and Instrument, Gear and Actuator Screw, Grease thickened with metallic soap), Boeing BMS 3-33B (Grease, Aircraft, General Purpose), and Airbus AIMS09-06-002/SAE AMS3052 (Grease, General Purpose, Airframe, Low Temperature Range, Lithium Thickened). Mobilgrease 33 is listed in the Qualified Products List of Airbus, Boeing, and the U.S. Military for these specifications. The NATO Code Number for Mobilgrease 33 is G-354.
Synthetic Aviation Grease
Product Description
Mobilgrease 28 is a supreme performance, wide-temperature, antiwear grease designed to combine the unique features of a polyalphaolefin (PAO) synthetic base fluid with an organo-clay (non-soap) thickener. Its consistency is between an NLGI No. 1 and No. 2 grease. It offers outstanding performance over a wide temperature range. The wax-free nature of the synthetic base fluid, together with its high viscosity index compared to mineral oils, provide excellent low temperature pumpability, very low starting and running torque, and can help reduce operating temperatures in the load zone of rolling element bearings.
The clay thickener gives Mobilgrease 28 a high dropping point value of around 300ºC, which provides excellent stability at high temperatures. Mobilgrease 28 resists water washing, provides superior load-carrying ability, reduces frictional drag, and prevents excessive wear. Tests show that Mobilgrease 28 lubricates effectively rolling element bearings under conditions of high speeds and temperatures. Mobilgrease 28 has also shown excellent ability to lubricate heavily loaded sliding mechanisms, such as wing flap screw jacks.
For more than 30 years, Mobilgrease 28 has been the multi-purpose grease of choice for military and related aviation applications, worldwide.

Applications
Mobilgrease 28 is designed for the lubrication of plain and rolling bearings at low to high speeds, and splines, screws, worm gears, and other mechanisms where high friction reduction, low wear, and low lubricant friction losses are required. The recommended operating temperature range is -54ºC to 177ºC (-65ºF to 350ºF) with appropriate relubrication intervals.
Mobilgrease 28 is recommended for use in landing wheel assemblies, control systems and actuators, screw jacks, servo devices, sealed-bearing motors, oscillating bearings, and helicopter rotor bearings on military and civil aircraft. Subject to equipment manufacturer approvals, it can also be used on naval shipboard auxiliary machinery and where superseded specifications MIL-G-81322 (WP), MIL-G-7711A, MIL-G-3545B, and MIL-G-25760A are recommended.
Mobilgrease 28 is also recommended for industrial lubrication, including sealed or repackable ball and roller bearings wherever extreme temperature conditions, high speeds, or water washing resistance are factors. Typical industrial applications include conveyor bearings, small alternator bearings operating at temperatures near 177ºC (350ºF), high-speed miniature ball bearings, and bearing applications where oscillatory motion, and vibration create problems.
Mobilgrease 28 is qualified by the U.S. Military under Specification MIL-PRF-81322, General-Purpose, Aircraft, and Specification DOD-G-24508A (Navy) for shipboard auxiliary machinery. It is a U.S. Military Symbol WTR and NATO Code Number G-395 grease.
Synthetic Aviation Grease

Mobil Aviation Grease SHC 100 is a supreme performance synthetic grease which combines the unique features of a polyalphaolefin (PAO) synthetic base fluid with those of a high quality lithium complex soap thickener. Mobil Aviation Grease SHC 100 is recommended for aviation applications which need a lubricant that can perform normal functions, yet go far beyond in terms of high and low temperatures and long-life performance. It is a NLGI Grade 2/ISO VG 100 grease having the cold-temperature pumping resistance of most mineral-oil NLGI Grade 0 greases. It provides outstanding protection at operating temperatures from –54 ºC (-65 ºF) to 177 ºC (350 ºF).
Mobil Aviation grease SHC 100 is recommended for high speed, heavy load applications such as wheel bearings, as well as for slower speed, high load applications such as landing gear bearings, slides, and joints.

Exxon HyJet V is a Type V fire-resistant phosphate ester hydraulic fluid, which is superior in thermal and hydrolytic stability to commercially available Type IV hydraulic fluids. Better stability means the extent of fluid degradation in aircraft systems will be less than Type IV fluids, in-service fluid life will be longer, and consequently aircraft operator maintenance costs may be lower.
HyJet V provides excellent high and low temperature flow properties (kinematic viscosities) and rust protection. HyJet V has also demonstrated an improvement over the erosion protection performance afforded by Type IV fluids.

Applications
Mobil Aero HFA is a premium quality fluid that meets the quality requirements of the U.S. Military specification MIL-H-5606A (now obsolete). It has a very high VI and is suitable for use at temperatures down to -54 ºC (-65 ºF). While this quality fluid is no longer used by the U.S. Military, it is still used in some older, small private, and commercial aircraft. It is also used in industrial and commercial equipment requiring good fluidity at very low temperatures, where Mobil Aero HFA provides long, trouble-free service over a wide range of operating conditions.
Mobil Aero HF is a premium quality fluid that is approved against the most current version of U.S. Military specification MIL-PRF-5606. It has physical properties very similar to Mobil Aero HFA, and also meets “super-clean” requirements required by modern aircraft hydraulic systems. It is intended primarily for military aircraft, but it is also used as a hydraulic fluid for small private and commercial aircraft, and as a strut fluid in landing gear of large commercial aircraft. It is a NATO Code Number H-515 fluid.

Applications
Exxon Aviation Oil Elite 20W-50 is U.S. Military approved under SAE J1899, which replaced MIL-L-22851D and is listed in the U.S. Military Qualified Products List QPL-1899. It is approved by and included in the Qualified Products Lists of Teledyne Continental, and Textron Lycoming and it is designed to satisfy the requirements of all opposed piston engine manufacturers. It provides an alternate means of compliance with FAA AD 80-04-03-R2 par.b.1.
New or newly overhauled aircraft engines should be broken in according to the engine builder’s recommended procedure. Many engine manufacturers advise running in on straight mineral oils for the first 25 to 50 hours of operation. In all cases, however, the engine manufacturers recommendations should be followed, since the run in procedure can vary from engine to engine.
Aviation Oil Elite is compatible with non-dispersant mineral oils as well as other ashless-dispersant oils that meet the requirements of MIL-L-22851D/SAE J1899. It can also be used in high-time engines that have previously used a straight mineral oil. In this case it is advisable to carry out the oil-screen inspection recommended by the engine manufacturer.

Mobil Avrex M Turbo 201/1010 gas turbine lubricant is a combination of a proven aviation
engine mineral oil base stock and an ashless additive package. The effective operating range
for Mobil Avrex M Turbo 201/1010 is between -40°C and 121°C (-40°F and 250°F). The pour
point is below -57°C (-70°F).
Applications
Mobil Avrex M Turbo 201/1010 is recommended for older design aircraft gas turbine engines.
The product is approved against U.S. Military Specification MIL-PRF-6081, Grade 1010. It
should be used only in those turbine engines where the operating temperatures are within
the capability range of mineral oil-based lubricants.

This scientifically engineered oil is formulated from base fluids with an inherently high viscosity index and a unique, proprietary, additive system which enables this product to provide outstanding performance in extreme service applications at high and low temperatures, well beyond the capabilities of mineral oils. This product is resistant to mechanical shear, even in heavily loaded gear and high shear bearing applications.
Mobil AGL has a low traction coefficient, which derives from the molecular structure of the base stock used. This results in low fluid friction in the load zone of non-conforming surfaces such as gears and rolling contact bearings. Low fluid friction produces lower operating temperatures and improved gear efficiency, which translates into reduced power consumption. It also results in extended parts life and allows for more economical equipment design.
The base oil used in Mobil AGL has outstanding response to antioxidant additives resulting in superior resistance to oxidation and sludging, especially at high temperatures. The additive combination used in this oil also provides exceptional resistance to rusting and corrosion, very good antiwear, demulsibility, foam control and air release properties, as well as multimetal compatibility.
